Glossy or not, that is my question 2

So in the near future I plan on upgrading my trusty old Titanium PowerBook G4 to a new MacBook Pro. These machines are amazing and a total work house. My only question is about the glossy screen option. Does anyone have any experience with this from a photographic and design point of view?

On the Apple site they describe it like this

Finishing coat.
MacBook Pro offers an antiglare widescreen display that’s perfect for color-minded professionals. For a more immersive viewing experience, you can configure the MacBook Pro display with a glossy finish. This gives everything you see a richer, more saturated feel.

That sounds nice but when I went to the store the other day and check them out side by side the glossy one just looked cheap to me and didn’t seem as sharp. They are the same price so money is not he issue, I want to get what’s best for editing photos and doing design work. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My New Toy 3

Check out what I got in the mail today. A new timer and cable release. I saw how my friend Blaine used this to do some cool time laps shots a while back and I want to do a time laps of my child’s birth next month so I had to get one. I will post some shots once I try it out. Probably not of the birth though.

Hashima Chorus Festival 0

Today was the Chorus Festival for my school and of corse I was asked to shoot it. It was fun and the kids all did an awesome job. They rented out this huge concert all in Hashima City called “Sky Hall”. There is one student in 3rd grade who recently placed 3rd in the world for rhythmic gymnastics and 1st in Japan in the junior category. So look for a girl named Kana Yokoyama in the Olympics someday. There are a few photos of her routine below.
