Summer Festival

So last night I went to the local “Matsuri” [Summer Festival] which was held on the main street of our town. It was pretty cool and there were lots of people out. Last year we missed it because we were in the US getting married and so this also was our first anniversary. As it turned out the Summer Festival is more of a flea market than anything else. There were people all over the place selling their junk. Lot’s of clothes and the typical garage sale junk. Anyway, I was walking with my wife and my camera as usual and something caught my eye. A Sector 9 long board that looked new and it had a tag for ¥3000 yen [$30.00]. I looked in my wallet and all I had was ¥2000 so I asked the guy if he would sell it for ¥2000 and he said how about ¥1000 because he didn’t want to leave me broke. Pretty good find and my wife also got some cool old Doraemon cups for about ¥100.
