Igaya Night Air 2

Saturday night I went to a local big (little) air comp and some of our staff entered. The jump was pretty small but it looked like people were having a good time. There was about 30 entries and they each got 2 runs to show their stuff. The winner ended up being the guy in the first photo on skis doing the super man punch.

Matsumoto Castle 2

Today we went down the mountain to Matsumoto which is the only real city within an hour of where we live. We decided to go check out the Matsumoto Castle which is actually pretty cool and one of the only castles in Japan that has not burned down during the war. It’s still in it’s original state with a mote around it filled with Japanese Carp. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Indy Park Jam 0

Last weekend I went up north to a ski area called Alts Bandai where they were holding a kids slope style event called the ‘Indy Park Jam“. It was a really good comp with kids from elementary to junior high school competing. I was asked to be the official photographer for the event and was able to connect with some great people in the Japanese Snowboard world because of it. Some of my shots will also be coming out in Transworld Snowboarding Japan in the next few months. I got a letter from Transworld Japan thanking me for my contribution to the magazine and saying that they are looking forward to working with me again. I will let you know when they publish that issue.

Thats all for now. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the comp.
